Mr. Alvin Chang Teck Kiam is a Partner of the firm, he pursued his Bachelor Degree in Law at University of Tasmania, Australia. He is also a qualified barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of Tasmania, Australia. Upon the graduation, Mr. Chang chambered with Mr. John Clark Sumugod of M/s Sidek, Teoh, Wong & Dennis and was subsequently admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court in Malaya in 2000.
Mr. Chang joined the firm as Legal Assistant in 2001, and was subsequently promoted to Partner in year 2004. He is in charge of the entire litigation and conveyancing portfolios at the Johor Bahru’s Office, providing both advisory as well as litigation services. He provides comprehensive advice, negotiation and litigation on behalf of clients. These abilities have enhanced the consistency in his excellent litigation performance in court. His expertise in litigation has attracted the attention of local community and his bio-date has been inserted since 2011 edition of “MALAYSIA: Who’s Who Constitution Government & Politics, book with bio-date of personages who have contributed in some ways for the betterment of Malaysia.
Mr. Chang has acted on a wide variety of disputes and his main area of practice including contentious works of banking litigation matters, foreclosure proceeding, bankruptcy, winding up, family matter, contested custody proceedings, adoption, hire-purchase matters, letter of administration, probate, goods sold and delivered, defamation, civil proceeding for debts collection, action for removal of caveat, judicial review, order for declaration, shipping matters, appeal proceedings and all execution proceedings including committal proceeding, writ of seizure and sale, garnishee order and judgment debtor summons; miscellaneous interlocutory application including applications for summary judgment, striking out of pleading and application for discovery of documents.
